BREAKING NEWS: Supreme Court allows NEET Counselling for UG/PG admissions for 2021-2022 based on existing EWS/OBC reservation in All India Quota.
The Supreme Court of India on January 7 said it has upheld the constitutional validity of the 27 % reservation for OBC in NEET UG and PG. For EWS category, 10 % reservation will apply this year and the prospective ruling will be decided on a final hearing on March 3, 2022.
The bench of justices led by Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice AS Bopanna pronounced the verdict at 10:30 am today. The Supreme Court, on Thursday, January 6, after reserving the judgement said: “NEET PG counselling has to begin in national interest".
