There are total 249 seats of MBBS in JIPMER Puducherry. It has two campuses Puducherry and Karaikal. Till 2019, a separate exam was taken by JIPMER for MBBS admission in JIPMER and admission was given after counseling by JIPMER, but now due to the implementation of NMC Bill, admission in JIPMER will be on NEET score only and counseling will also be conducted by MCC. JIPMER counted in Top 5 Medical Institute of India. There are two types of quota i.e. All India Quota – 175 Seats and Puducherry state quota – 174 Seats. Any student of any state of all India can take admission on 175 seats, but Candidate of Puducherry can take admission on 174 seats.
